Just like Facebook Like, Google has launched +1. The +1 button will show next to search results and advertisements. The primary goal of this feature is to personalize your search results and ads and suggest to your friends and contacts. It allows you to recommend, news, favorite movies, songs, contacts any other stuff to your friends, contacts and to the complete world. So the next time, when your connections make a search, they will see recommendation on the search results. You will need login to your Google account, if you want to see recommendations from your friends and contacts.
Google says “+1 is the digital shorthand for ‘this is pretty cool.’ To recommend something, all you have to do is click +1 on a webpage or ad you find useful. These +1′s will then start appearing in Google’s search results,”
